FLOTUS does it again!
In July, Michelle Obama made her mark in the 2016 election by completing slaying her speech at the Democratic National Convention. And now it appears that the First Lady is at it again.
At a rally for Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on Thursday, Obama stumped for the Democratic presidential nominee by speaking out against the “hurtful” and “hateful” rhetoric that Donald Trump used to describe women.
“I can’t believe that I’m saying that a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women,” Obama said. “And I have to tell you that I can’t stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted. So while I’d love nothing more than to pretend like this isn’t happening, and to come out here and do my normal campaign speech, it would be dishonest and disingenuous to me to just move on to the next thing like this was all just a bad dream.”
In her passionate address, the First Lady said that the recent leak of Trump’s controversial comments about women was not “an isolated incident” because of his history of making sexist remarks.
“It is cruel. It’s frightening,” she said. “And the truth is, it hurts. It hurts. It’s like that sick, sinking feeling you get when you’re walking down the street minding your own business and some guy yells out vulgar words about your body. Or when you see that guy at work that stands just a little too close, stares a little too long, and makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.”
Obama made it clear that what Trump said is not ordinary because most men “don’t treat women this way” and all women deserve better than how Trump has described them.
“This is not normal,” Obama said. “This is not politics as usual. This is disgraceful. It is intolerable. And it doesn’t matter what party you belong to — Democrat, Republican, independent — no woman deserves to be treated this way. None of us deserves this kind of abuse.”
Many women on Twitter praised Obama for her heartfelt speech slamming Trump’s sexism.

Following the rally on Thursday, Clinton praised the First Lady for eloquently calling out Trump’s misogynistic behavior. And President Barack Obama exalted his wife’s speech as well.
“She was pretty good,” he said. “That’s why you get married. To improve your gene pool. Your kids end up being superior to you.”
