Be Unique. Be Great.

How Many Sides The Great Pyramids Of Giza Have? No, 4 Is A Wrong Answer!

Here’s another “your whole life was a lie” story. And, this time literally, your life was a lie and mine too. Because recently I came to know about this fact of the great pyramids of Giza and I was shocked. I mean, how could we miss something like that.

We have seen these pyramids many times on TV, laptop and mobile but never noticed this. I guess you get the idea that I’m talking about the number of sides of the great pyramids of Giza. Well, we all know that every pyramid has 4 sides, excluding the base, and we would expect the same from the great pyramids of Giza too.

But, my friend you’re wrong. The Great Pyramids of Giza has more than 4 sides and how many they are? Let’s find out.

Can you guess the number of sides from this image?

Here’s little more clear image. You can’t be wrong this time.

Yeah, you guessed it right. There are 8 sides.

You might have noticed the concavity on every side of the pyramid.

This hollowing-in was first noticed by an RAF pilot in 1940.

He happened to notice the concavity and capture this famous picture.

This concavity divides each of the four sides in half, thus making eight sides in the pyramid.

Now you know that the Great Pyramids of Giza have 8 sides, not 4.
