Angus T. Jones made a (great) living playing Jake Harper, Charlie Sheen’s cute nephew, in Two and A Half Men.
Angus was born in Austin, Texas. When the family moved, he broke onto the scene in See Spot Run. It was 2001. In the photo with David Arquette.
After See Spot Run, he starred in The Rookie with Dennis Quaid, and in 2003 with Queen Latifah in Bringing down the house.
Then he was George of the Jungle’s son, in a forgetteble role in a forgettable movie.
But that year he landed the role that would change his life forever. He started as a little boy and grew to be a young man right before our eyes. He got paid $250,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men, making him the highest-paid child-actor in Hollywood.
Here he is with the the cast of Two and a Half Men at the People’s Choice Awards in 2009.
About the show, he said on a Texas radio show: “It was making light of topics in our world that are really problems for a lot of people, and I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t okay with it, but I was still doing it.”
Apparently these days he is a student at the University of Colorado. He has an estimated net worth of $15 million. Not too bad…
