Kim Kardashian´s Ferrari 458 Italia
Kim picked up this stunning white Ferrari for a mere $325,000. It’s a 4.5L V8, generating 650 HP, and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds.
The auto insurance costs on this car though is a different matter. We´d estimate Kim is paying about $5,500 per month in insurance costs to drive this beauty around the streets of Hollywood.
P Diddy’s Maybach
P Diddy spent $360,000 on this beauty for its passenger comfort. He doesn´t drive it himself of course, he has a chauffeu. What makes this spend even more intolerable is that he didn’t even buy it for himself, he bought it as a first car for his son.
The auto insurance costs for this would be astronomical, we estimate in the region of $9000 per month (and that´s if he drive it). His sons costs would be much higher.
David Beckham’s Roll Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe
Rolls Royce has been synonymous with luxury for a long time, and Beckham’s $407,000 Coupe is no exception. It has a 6.75L V12 engine and zooms from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. It is a luxury car though, so it only goes 150 mph.
Imagine you are driving and you crash into this car! For the auto insurance on this we´d estimate in the region of $8500 per month. It IS a rolls, after all.
Jay Leno’s Mercedes SLR McLaren
Jay Leno is a car lover, with around 300 cars and motorbikes to his name. The 5.4L engine on this Mercedes SLR Mclaren generates a whopping 620 HP! Youré unlikely to be able to pick up one of these bad boys for yourself though, as only 3500 were made and each costs $500,000!
These things are FAST. We´d estimate Jay is paying over $10,000 per month in auto insurance costs for the privilege of driving this marvel of engineering.
Nicholas Cage’s Ferrari Enzo
The Enzo was made to mark Ferrari’s Formula 1 success, and the only people allowed to buy one were specially selected by Ferrari’s management. It’s 650 HP V12 engine allows it to go from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 3 seconds. Although this car only set Cage back $670,000 at the time, it’d fetch over $1 million now, as only 400 were ever made.
Because of it´s sheer speed, exclusivity and name we´d estimate Nick is paying over $12,000 per month in auto insurance to cover this bad body.
Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche 959
In a production model that doesn’t seem great for business at first glance, Porsche spent more money building each 959 than they sold them for. The 959 is one of the rarest Porsche models, and has a 2.85 L engine which can reach top speeds of over 200 mph, which was unheard of when it was produced in the late 80s. Jerry got his hands on this monster for $700,000.
Again because of its rarity and enormous speed we´d estimate around $12,500 per month in auto insurance costs for this beast.
Kanye West’s Lamborghini Aventador
Kanye’s custom Aventador was a present from his wife Kim, who paid $750,000 for this flashy, futuristic looking Lambo. Amazing! It has a 6.5 L V12 engine which puts out 700 HP, and goes from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds. Bear in mind, this is almost as fast as an F1 car in terms of acceleration
The sheer rarity of the car, made him pay over $9,000 in insurance every month.
Steven Tyler’s Hennessey Venom GT Spider
The Hennessey Venom GT is most famous for battling Bugatti for the title of the fastest car in the world, and the Hennessey took the title with a top speed of 270 mph (yes you read that right!) Speed like that doesn’t come cheap though, with Steven Tyler paying $1.1 million for the Spider.
To cover this car with such ridiculous speeds, cost and rarity, we think in the region of $15,000 per month. Wow.
Simon Cowell’s Bugatti Veyron
Although not quite as flashy as some of the others on this list, the Bugatti Veyron held the title of fastest car in the world for quite a while. The car goes from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds (as fast as a Formula 1 car!), and set Cowell back a hefty $1.7 million.
We think Simon must be paying the region of $18,500 per month to insure this brute of a car.
Jay Z’s Maybach Exelero. $8 MILLION Price Tag!
The Maybach Exelero’s 700HP V12 engine reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, slowed a little by its mammoth weight of 2.6 tonnes. It still has a maximum speed of 220 mph, and definitely tops out this list in terms of cost, with Jay Z forking out $8 million for his Maybach.
Finally the insurance. It´´s rather expensive, so we think in the region of $25,000 per month to insure this work of art.
What are your thoughts? If you had the money, would YOU buy a car like these guys?
