Police claim that there are over 1 million members of criminal gangs in the country, who commit around 80% of the crimes in the U.S. That’s huge!


USA vs France

You’re 66 times more likely to be prosecuted for a crime in the U.S than you are in France. Guess those Parisians are just super laid back, or something.


Facebook crimes

There are over 100,000 crimes linked directly to Facebook. The website has been used by criminals to intimidate, bully, and harass since its inception in 2004. Look out for those internet friends, man.

Between 2004 and 2008, nearly 1/3 of violent crimes in the U.S occurred in or near the victim’s own home. The message? Go out tonight, it’s not that much more dangerous.


Rape in the U.S

There are over 100,000 reported rapes committed every year in the U.S. That’s the highest number for any country in the U.N. What’s scary is that this doesn’t take into account the amount that go unreported- typically a disproportionately large amount compared to other types of crime.

The U.S has the highest crime rate

There are approximately 12 million crimes committed in the U.S every year- by far the worst in the world. Just to give you a clue, no other country in the world has more than 6 million crimes annually. Now, does America need to reclassify what constitutes a crime? Probably, but regardless this is still bad.
